If you like leather (and ice cream) then this is the place for you. Overwhelming choice of coats, jackets, bags, belts and scarves. Like all markets, sellers can be a bit pushy but you can haggle and get a good price.

There is a vast array of stuff to choose from, lovely leather goods, silk ties, all kinds of clothing and keen competition. The food markets are nearby as is San Lorenzo basilica, the Medici Riccardi palace, the Accademia and San Marco. A brilliant quarter of the city.

Some great stuff but often the stall holders have similar things and prices appear fixed. Hard to find a bargain but some stall holders will negotiate price.

Our main purpose for visiting San Lorenzo Market was to purchase gifts for our family. We didn't buy any leather goods even though they were everywhere. We did purchase some lovely Tuscan lace, a few scarves, and a t-shirt. We also picked up a great backpack that I used as my main carry on during our return flight. It fit...

During the months of Oct. & Nov. 2011 we frequented the San Lorenzo Mkt. in Firenza twice a week. This is where we purchased wonderful veal, lamb and cheese. We also found great, fresh vegetables for our take home apartment on the Piazza Signoria. Once we established ourselves with one of the local butchers, we were extremely satisfied with not...

It seems to me the stalls on lorenzo are owned by the same people and they all have an agreement on how much they should charge tourist. Unfortunely, I brought the vinyl made in china goods- i advise you to go to designer outlets to...
