This is a beautiful old building which displays contemporary art suberbly. I recently saw the Guggenheim exhibition there, which contained a great choice of exhibits. It also had good in depth information about each piece. There is also a pleasant refreshment area and good bookshop.

The exhibit at the time was about Peggy Guggenheim, so it provided new insights and photos of her, as well as a small bit of her collection. There's also a cafe, shop, and children's art classes.

Hi, this place is well worth a visit especially if you have been walking around Lucca and need a break from the hustle and bustle.
