The Palazzo Pfanner is not easy to locate, but it is well worth the effort. The garden is lovely. You can spot it from the walls, but it is much lovelier when you are actually in the garden. The house is interesting. More

Small Palazzo with lovely garden, worth a visit to sit and take a few moments to enjoy the sunshine in peace and quiet. More

Our map was very wrong when it came to showing the location of these gardens, which are right inside the walls. Even people in the neighborhood were not able to give us good directions. Finally, a "kindly soul" walked with us to the villa and gardens. Both were spectacular. The villa was owned for many years by a beer baron... More

Just under the ramparts of Lucca you will find the see wonderful gardens - they are small but have many interesting features - the fountains and lemon groves are my favourites. You do not have to visit the house if you don't want to and the entrance to gardens only is very reasonable. More

We were here on first day that they were open. The garden was a peaceful haven from the busy streets and walls. Having viewed from the walls it was wonderful to beable to walk in the garden and sit. Still early in the season but the citrus trees and flower beds were beautiful. The palace itself is interesting, although you... More

Take a relaxing walk in this wonderful garden with a lot of statues. See the place when you are walking around the old center. You can't miss it. More

Having visited some of the more famous palaces in Florence, where you can walk for ages along interminable corridors with interminable suites of (beautiful) paintings, palazzo Pfanner comes as a nice surprise. It is small, easy to absorbe in one go, the guide knowlegeable and charming, the gardens harmoniously decorated with XVIII century statues and contemporary lemon trees. More

We had hoped to see what a real palazzo was like--day in the life of a Luccan. Were disappointed to only be able to go in 5 rooms, and most were medical exhibits, which, albeit interesting, were not quite as we had hoped. More

Very beautiful architecture. More recent than the other palazzi in Lucca. Great garden. Exhibit on first floor only. Would have liked to visit the other floors too More
