Although the inside renovation of the church kept us from seeing every thing we wanted. The consolation is they are doing much over due work to return the inside to its glory.

This museum is in an unusual and beautiful building. The museum houses the "clothing" and jewels of the "Volto Santo"... truly beautiful.

The Cathedral Museum can be visited on the cumulative Ilario ticket purchased in the Cathedral. At first one could be forgiven for thinking it is just a repository for saved fragments of frescoes and damaged marble statues. Instead it is housed in a former archbishop's house that has been extensively renovated in a modern style. The collection is small and...
