Exit the Information Centre in the Piazza Duomo and turn left where there are steps up one of the remaining towers of San Gimignano. I paid 5 Euro and was there right on opening time thanks to the advice of other Trip Advisors. The steps up aren't too difficult. Make the effort and do it early when the light is... more
The entrance to Torre Grossa is situated at the top of the steps on the left hand side of Piazza del Duomo. It opens at 0930. Make it a priority to go early and enjoy the serenity and breath taking views before the bus parties start arriving after 1000. more
