The first impression greeting visitors is the setting of this theatre. Although the remains do not do justice to the original design, it still is marvelous to admire and imagine the culture and society that built them. We were wandering round the area and truly felt transported back to ancient Rome. The ruins were being tidied up when we were there in 2006, so presume the refurbishment is now complete. It is worth going into the little "theatre"/display area beside the ruins. More

Lovely setting for this beautiful if slightly neglected ruin. There is a small museum nearby but not a vast amount of information. However,you don't really need it to soak up the aura of the place.It is certainly worth the time to sit and muse in the evening sunshine. More

Anyone with any interest in Roman history, theatre, art, politics, whatever should be thrilled to explore this place. It is worth the 6 Euro admission and you'll spend about 45 minutes walking around and in and about it. Even in the rain, it's a nice thing to do. More
