Merkur Chocolaterie was an impressive chocolate shop. We went in there to buy just a couple pieces of chocolate and went out with a large bag. This is the Chocolate shop to visit in Basel.

It is difficult to walk by Merkur anywhere in Switzerland without stop and stare at the shop. You have try the fresh chocolates. My favorites are the ones with nuts and of course the white chocolates are absolutely to die for. However, the price is a bit high, so be careful what you order. The best is to get a...
