After coming to Bern a few times, I finally had the opportunity to visit the Einstein House in Bern. It's basically the apartment he had while living in this town (with some of its original furnishings) and where he came up with his famous theory of relativity. Anyone interested in history, physics or general culture will truly appreciate it.

It was really outstanding. It's not just solely limited to Einstein but really gives the history of the time he lived in, whether it be the rise of Nazi power in Germany or the development of the atom bomb within the Manhattan project. I spent nearly 90 min there with the exhibits and really thought it was outstanding!

We are science nerds and loved every second of this little museum. Although our Swissrail provides free entrance to most museums, it only provided a discount here, but worth the four and one half francs it cost (after a discount of 2 francs). Don't miss the video, which can be viewed in several languages depending on the button you push....

The swiss are a 'class apart'. Most people when think of a museum, a surge of boredom crosses their heads even before the actual experience. But if you visit the Einstein Museum you're in for a surprise.
The place not only showcases Einstein's life and times but also how Switzerland evolved with Einstein. Brilliant exhibits have been put up to give...
