Came up here for a picnic on Swiss National Day..not crowded, fireworks were amazing! From this park you can see the Alps, the Aare, & Bern. Plenty of room for everyone once you are at the park. The train up is quite crowded but the walking path is nice. More

Great place to visit with the family on a sunny day, the cafe/restaurant has a super nice view of Bern, great place for the children with lots of places to run to and amusements, especially the little train to ride on. More

800 meters above the City with great views over Bern and the Alps, self service restaurant is OK and if the terrace is open, great views. More

I visited Gurtenpark with a couple of friends, and totally loved it. If you have children you can't miss this attraction, plenty of attractions for the little ones. The location and the views are great. But the food is just average. It is still worth going there. More

I've been here many times on my trips to Switzerland. Not a tourist trap, a genuinely lovely park used by the residents of Bern. Playgrounds and a little train ride and lots of open areas for picnicing at the top. More

This makes a bracing walk up (dodge the sledgers) or you can use the funicular railway. It is walkable from the city centre but you can get the tram. There are good views from the top and make sure you climb the tower even if it is -20 degrees C! More

Lovely park area with view over the city of Berne. Plenty to keep children amused with numerous play areas. A nice trip. More

Easy to get to (a tram drops you right down the street from the station). Small train for the kids to ride on at the top. Nice walking trails. Restaurant is good (according to friends - haven't been there myself). Hosts concerts in the summer that are packed with people. More
