Beside the Gurten the Rosengarten is the most wonderful place in Berne. You can picnick in the grass, watch the city from above and calm down in the cafe. Really nice to enjoy nice weather and blooming spring. ps you can easily walk up from the Bärenpark (bear parc). More

I went to the Rosengarten with business colleagues for an informal dinner. The food was really good, I had the coconut soup and the entrecote steak, but the service was not as overwhelming. Our drinks took a long time to arrive and the food was not served together, i.e. three people on the table got their main course and then... More

We came here for sunset, but you will get a better pic during the day or at sunrise. There is a bar/restaurant for you to chill and enjoy the sunset. Great spot. More

If you visit Bern in good weather, you'd be foolish to miss the Rosengarten. Like most Bern locations, it's small, but the flowers are fabulous and it offers the absolute best view of the jewel-like medieval city. The terraces are inviting and it's hard not to sit down and order coffee. Only snacks are served during the day, though, and... More

Picturesque place, no admittance. It's very busy in summer and a good place to do some people watching. You can overview the whole old town of berne, the aare river included. It's quite a steep walk up from the Bärengraben but worth it. At night, it's not the safest place to stay. More

From the Rose Garden you can enjoy the rooftops of the old city of Bern,( which was founded 1191), - and now an UNESCO cultural heritage site worth seeing , no matter from how far you are from. The Rose Garden offers the splendors of over 220 different kinds of roses, over 200 different Irises and 28 different Rhododendrons. My... More

The garden was beautiful with large grass areas. We packed a picnic and had a nice lunch in the garden. There are a lot of different colored roses and other plants. But the best part is the amazing view of Bern Alt Stadt. More
