“Every time I come to Geneva I visit”

This museum is the best one to show us Chinese and Japanese art (especially porcelain ware) in Europe. The China ware shown this museum cannot be seen in Beijing! More

“A VERY ELEGANT PLACE”

Located in one of the best place in Geneva, and housed in a beautiful house, the Baur Museum is showing great Asian pieces. Not only the pieces are very unique, but the way they are being displayed makes touring this museum a very enjoyable experience: not to be missed by whoever likes art! More

The museum is very near to " l' Eglisse Russe" . It is an old building, very well maintained and organised. For me it was the best museum I have seen in Geneva. Permanent collections are from Japan (a very impressive samurai uniform, swords, pipe boxes, writing tools etc) and China (porcelain). A museum in a trafitional old building in the old town. The exibitions are on four floors...one just about Japan and on one floor there are changing axhibitions. The museum is not crowded so you can enjoy your stay and take as much time as you like to look around. The explantions are available in French and English but not... More
