The KKL (culture and convention center) occupies an idyllic setting on the Vierwaldstattersee (Lake Lucerne), just behind the train station in the center of Lucerne. The main concert hall, seating just under 2,000, is accoustically excellent. The place was packed and you could hear a pin drop the acoustics are so good. Pollini played some interesting Stockhausen and Beethoven and we had some excellent seats.
