Chapel Bridge is a heritage wooden bridge whcih was almost destroyed in a fire and then rconstructed. It's a nice old world charm bridge..with sights of swans in the river and pretty flowers running along the wooden rails. Nice short walk...Close to the Luzern station and lake...leading to the old town. More

Beautiful bridge with a great European backdrop. If you end up in Lucerne you will see the bridge. It's just a matter of whether you decide to cross it. More

The bridge was destroyed in 1993 but the govt has rebuilt it and tried to save the 17th Century paintings at the beginning and end of the bridge More

Inside the bridge there are paintings on the roofs of each section. A pity lighting was dark to produce nice photo. It was convenient from old town to cross back to the other size of town near the railway making a nice walking loop. More

We were billeted in a hotel situated close to the train station, and it was inevitable for us to cross the Chapel Bridge to get to the "old town" of Lucerne. We didn't actually mind crossing this bridge several times a day (and night) because it was such a delight to walk through history as the cool wind blows our... More

From the shores of the Lucerne lake at night, you could see the brightly litted Chapel Bridge. What a pretty view that is! We took a stroll on it when returning from the old town to our hotel. You could stop in the middle of the bridge and take photos. Right in the middle of the lake. It is a... More

The bridge was not out of the ordinary and you'll see many more like this all over the world. I liked the girls who stood there on easter Sunday dressed as witches; this was something new for me. More

The Chapel Bridge is one of the sights one must see when visiting Lucerne. It is close to the train station and does not take a lot of time to visit and walk over the bridge. It feels kind of surreal to think the bridge stood on that spot since 1333. If you have more time the roofpaintings are interesting.... More
