I love old buildings, churches, cathedrals etc, and this is attraction is rated as one of my favourite. You cannot help but stand and stare up at the ceiling with your mouth gaping open. The Abbey Library is an UNESCO World Heritage site, located at the cathedral. Built in the 18th century, the library is small, but very impressive. Walking into the library immediately makes one feel as if we're being transported back in time, where books were handwritten and well treasured. It is amazing to see a building with so much history still in one peice in Europe. I especially loved it around Christmas time with giant Christmas tree in the square! The "Altstadt" near is one of my favorites because it has this metropo-farmer feeling that I have never had anywhere else in the world! more
