It is said rheinfall is the largest waterfall in Europe. Even though it is totally different from niagara, it is small but cozy More

Me and my friend arrive around 11 am that day. Not so many people at the beggining but slowly this place are more crowded. A little bit cloudy but then the sun rising and Rheinfall itself for me is really amazing and stunning object, one of the God creation. Many places to enjoy the fall, choose as you want. There... We travelled her from the black forest and were not dissapointed. You could hear the waterfalls from along way off and when we saw them we were surprised how wide they are, we expected them to be quite narrow. We did the boat trip that takes you right into the falls which was very impressive, then we walked along the bank... More

Went to see the falls from Shaffhausen. Took bus #1 from train station to Rhine Falls. 10 minute walk downhill to the falls. You can then go down to the base via stairs and also cross to the other side. Remember, you have to walk back up :-) It really is a must see if you're in the area. Pristine... More

It was rainy when we visited as a family. It was very fascinating to see the water falling and running at full speed in sipite of a rainy weather. There are three restaurants and a kiosk that you can buy hot dogs, chips and beer. We ate from the kiosk with a reasonable price. I travelled from Zurich, the road... More

The Swiss like to say it is the largest waterfall in Europe, but that is not true. Dettifoss in Iceland is larger by almost every measure. Rheinfall is much more picturesque though, and you can take a boat ride to the cliff in the middle of the falls. Stein am Rhein is close by, and is a very lovely little... More

Great place to see the force of nature. Take a boat ride closer to the falls. A short train ride from Zurich main train station brings you here. Purchase a Zurich all zone day ticket and it'll get you here. Use the same ticket to explore other parts of Zurich on the same day. More

I live about ten minutes car drive away and so often visit with friends or business acquaintances. Although they now have an entrance fee (which annoys those of us who remember the time when it was free) it is always worth the visit. Easily accessible by car or by train. Spectacular all year round. When nice, boat trips are available... More

We were unlucky i think we visited on a very hot and busy sunday and I found the place too busy for my liking. Undoubtedly the place is very scenic but a real tourist trap. More
