Amazing views, silence, wilderness. We went a day after Christmas which is perhaps why it was so quiet but enjoyed it thoroughly...miles of pristine, unspoiled, glittering snow - it was like a cold, snow desert. Amazing scenary.

My wife and I stumbled across this as we were driving through the Swiss countryside. We enjoyed it. Great views of the mountains (9k feet up!) and fresh air. You can ride on the glacier roller coaster, ok. You can take a dog sled ride, closed when we went up. You can walk the glacier, a lot of fun.

Well I went couple of weeks back. You can have one day visit there from interlekan. Just get the train going to Gstaad. Right on train station of Gstaad you get a bus which directly drops you at glacier3000 area. From there just buy the tickets and go up to the glacier where you ll get alpine coaster :)
