The paintings were great but the museum was very small. I visited because I was already in Davos and was looking for something to do indoors. There was no admission fee when I went, as there was a special program that day. I don't think I would pay to visit again.

Very small museum with basically three rooms. I found a movie running in the basement but no sign that it was ok to go downstairs. The movie is in German only while the paintings on the walls have English and German.

We did it as a beautiful, albeit long, day trip from Zurich on our Swiss Pass. There are only about 40 paintings (plus fifty or sixty drawings and wood prints, some letters and memorabilia, a couple of films in German, and one exquisite wood sculpture. ) But what great paintings! If we understood correctly, there will be more paintings on...

I had seen photos of the architecture in a book bought in Houston, and I yearned to see this place, it did not disappoint by any means, and in fact the Kirchner art made it all the more stellar. Highly recommended.
