This is a great museum for those interested in the Olympics and sports! The outside of the museum is almost as interesting as the inside - with various sculptures and the "olympic flame", and an olympic podeum and various olympic records shown (you can even lift the olympic shot put balls). I agree with the earlier reviewer that the setting for this museum alone is worth a visit. The most memorable thing I remember from the visit is how de-politicized the museum seemed, which in a way was refreshing. It truly concentrated on the history of the Olympics itself and stayed away from heavy commentary on events like the 1936 Berlin... more

There can be few museums in the world with such a fabulous setting as this. It sits high above the most beautiful lush gardens overlooking Lake Geneva (Lac Leman) and the soaring grandeur of the Alps. The exhibits themself are fascinating from the torches used to light the flame to the clothing and equipment of the athletes through the ages.... more
