It is indeed a scenic train!!!....clean and better view because of the large windows..but never go during winter time ,you will get bored seeing only snow....i would definitely recommend to take this pass if you are planning a trip to Switzerland..... More

We took the train from Montreux to Interlacken and it did have beautiful views and was an enjoyable way to get to Lauterbrunnen (where we were staying). However, we reserved seats according to recommendations we had received, and those seats were in the historic cars of the Golden Pass Classic. Very quaint, beautiful train car. However. No place to store... More

The GoldenPass Line is the natural link between Central Switzerland and Lake Geneva. From the shores of Lake Lucerne over Brunig Pass, pass through Interlaken and Gstaad. You will travel more than 149 miles though many highlights of Switzerland before arriving in Montreux or vice-versa. More

Went to Gruyere to see cheesemaking but discovered more than that. Found the HR Giger museum and bar - worth the trip just for those! Not sure what is going on inside Giger's head but his artwork is amazing. More

Golden Pass line has variety of trains like classic, Panoramic, Normal (with a big windows). From Interlaken only one train is Panoramic which is 9.11 am, rest all are normal with big windows. We did travel in normal GodenPass from Interlaken to Montreux, it was fantastic, extremly beautiful scenary. Unlike the Panoramic train in normal train you can lower down... More

I can see the Goldenpass train from my balcony but don't often use it. However, during the Montreux Jazz Festival there is a great deal which we have taken advantage of. For a few extra francs you can book a return trip from Montreux to Gstaad which includes live music from two bands who travel on the train and perform... More

Only one word to describe our journey from Lucerne to Speiz onto Zweisimmen. From there we went to Grubenwald. All the way through the journey, we just saw so many beautiful places that we ended up taking over 200 photos. Within Grubenwald, there are pretty cottages in the midst of snow covered mountains. Somehow the cottages are randomly laid out... More

We took Golden Pass Line from Montreux to Zweisimmen. It was about 2 hr journey. From Zweisimmen, we took Golden Pass Panoramic train to Interlaken. The whole path from Montreux to Zweisimmen to Intelaken Ost is a scenic journey, especially lush-green landscapes and natural beauty. This is a perfect way to travel... normally during any trip, travelling becomes an uneventful... More
