I went looking for a restaurant in this neighborhood and enjoyed looking around so much I never made it to the place. The windows were fantastic. It is much uphill and I recommend going up high into the residential area. This is worth the visit and so much more charming than the rest of the town

If you don't mind the walking you can visit the old city of Montreux and enjoy looking at very well preserved buildings also you will find very cute bistros that offer regional specialties especially viande des Grisons and Robluchon cheese.

I and my wife stayed in Montreux in early Sept for a week.... Amazing place.. great ambience chilled out food and an ambience that beats the best of tourists places.... The city sponsors 50% off on some of the boat rides and free public transportation with the city card. There isa live band playing every day and the weather was...

Most tourists ignore the old town of Montreux because its flowered lakeside promenade is such a strong draw. But they are missing a lot! Instead of the modern, thriving, bustling tourist resort we find at the lakeside, the old town is full of old stone buildings, winding stairs that go on forever, and the locals who move much more slowly...
