We arrived Zurich the day before May Day so the Sprungli in Parade Square was closed when we visited the next day. So did not get to eat at this famous cafe. I managed to buy some Macaroons from the main railway station shops which was opened. They cost Chf$12 per 100gm, which you get about 11 mini pieces.

the waitress simply threw our drink at our table, causing some drinks to spill on the table. it might be Easter and it is packed but the service is just unacceptable! The chocolates are definitely tasty but the drink are quite similar to Starbucks quality.

Located just opposite Paradeplatz.. (there are other outlets too), a nice place to take a breather, have some tea, snack, Luxembergerli, cakes, etc.
They have english menu only for the main course, as for the desserts, either look at the counter or from the swiss menu. Rather busy place, as there are too many people. Service ladies are busy taking...

Very popular confiserie with its world-famous Luxemburgerli macarons. Pricey but definitely a must-visit destination on Paradeplatz if you're in Zurich.
Would have loved to take some macarons back to the states but they only have a shelf life of three days (and need to be refrigerated). Boo.
But the lady at the counter gave me a vanilla bourbon Luxembergerli to...

Atomosphare & cakes are good at Paradeplatz, but almost all service ladies have terrible attitudes: no smiles, pretend as they don't understand English when half visitors are tourist, makes me & all my friends feel we are NOT welcome. Horrible food, over cooked past with too salty sauce. Local young Swiss avoid going to Sprungli Paradeplatz. Who wants terrible attitudes...

This place is fantastic.. place is usually very pack and tables on the street often not enough. have to wait... but then it's all worth-while... must try the hot chocolate and also the luxemburgerli.

Confiserie Sprüngli, perhaps the most well-known of the Swiss Chocolatiers, is revered by both locals and visitors alike, and I can't think of a better place for my 300th review!
This is a MUST if you're in Zurich, which should be easy enough since it is literally right in the center of the city, located on Bahnhofstrasse in the Paradeplatz....

If you're in Zurich, be sure to visit the Sprungli on the Bahnhofstrasse. The cafe upstairs is perfect for dessert and coffee or hot chocolate (my favorite). While there, be sure to stop by the shop downstairs for Luxemburgerli (macarons). They only stay fresh for a day or two, so buy accordingly. Delicious!

This is classic Switzerland! They've been in business since 1836! I've been to the one at the airport and two near the Bahnhofstrasse. Ate once at the location near the lake. It was not easy to get a seat outside! The ice cream is pricey, but the experience of sitting in an outdoor cafe, people watching, and having high quality...
