Although the entrancefee is high, the Batavia-werf and everything around it is a good hands-on way to have a look into the Dutch Golden age. My seven year old and I had a good time climbing the ship and seeing the movie and museum. More

Handmade using the traditional way from 400 years ago for building ships. Very well done and the guides are very knowledgeable. There is also another section which is called "Nieuwe Land" which displays many artifices that has been found during the creation of the province Flevoland. This museum should be included in the Batavia Ship entrance fee. More
