We went with two kids and four grown ups to the Apenheul, what a great park!. In some parts of the park the smaller monkeys walk free (and the Lemurs and Maki's which are a bit bigger, but harmless). There are a lot of species, big.. such as gorillas, orangutangs, Nose monkeys and Bonobos and a lot of smaller ones...... More

Wonderful zoo, dedicated to monkeys and apes. We were lucky to visit it in 2011 during the "Gorilla baby-boom" and no surprise that the tiny gorillas stole the show. This is a zoo specializing exclusively in monkey's. The small ones movve around freely. Animals are treated really well here which can be seen from the large amount of offspring being born here. More

We came from the UK especially to go to Apenheul (and added on Keukenhof, Kroller Muller and Floriade to make the trip worthwhile). But Apenheul was the focus. The park is situated on the outside of Apeldoorn in an beautifull area. It feels like walking in the woods. The park is well organised. More
