I have never seen anything like it. You walk in and these tiny little monkeys are all over the place climbing into your lap. Truly a brush with nature. The remainder of the park features lush grounds with hundreds of monkeys and apes.

We went with two kids and four grown ups to the Apenheul, what a great park!. In some parts of the park the smaller monkeys walk free (and the Lemurs and Maki's which are a bit bigger, but harmless). Wonderful zoo, dedicated to monkeys and apes. We were lucky to visit it in 2011 during the "Gorilla baby-boom" and no surprise that the tiny gorillas stole the show. Look for the schedule of feeding times - there's a lot of fun. The best for this park is that there is no feeling that the animals are locked. Fantastic place...

Animals are treated really well here which can be seen from the large amount of offspring being born here.

Apart from the gorillas...

The park is well maintained and quite spacious. Most fun are the monkeys that actually roam the premises. Be...

The area of Apeldoorn is surrounded by forest so i wasn't surprised to see lot's of green when...
