The caves were wonderful. I took the boat from Maastricht, I assumed it was a longer ride, but just outside the town, they dropped us off. We took a "boat tour" of the river which was a cheap $10 each. It's basically a boat ride that saved us 30 minutes walking to the mountain where the caves are located.
