A 45 minute tour of the caves and every time it's different. You just can't see it all so the guides give you different information and take you to different spots and therefore it is not a repeat of the previous visit. We take foreign guests here quite a lot. The only downside is that the English tours don't happen... More

A guided tour is a must as you learn the history of the place. Well worht it. Note: you are not allowed in alone - a guide, with a torch, is a must - never leave the guide out of sight, otherwise you'll never exit the caves! More

A rather well-kept secret, the large maze of underground tunnels under the whole area around Maastricht! Accessible via 2 entrances, and it's best to book in advance at the Tourist Info in the centre of the city (VVV). When the guide turns off the lights, it's most amazingly dark in there! The caves are of historical significance and certainly worth... More

Unbelieveable how dark it can be there! When you are claustrofobic dont go in. I loved it. More

The Caves are stunning! You enter something like a black hole and take some lamps to then see the large and branched outputs painted colorful with historic advertisements. Be prepared for a great guided tour and prepare for a cold environment. Take a boat tour to get there, it's worth it. More

Very beautiful trip, funny guide, nice price of five euros, great maintanance but... There was some historic mistakes in what he told us... Eventually that was a minor thing and not hurt the overall experience. More

We bought our tickets in advance from the tourist office in town. The caves were about 30 minutes on foot from the city centre. We were advised that the tour would be in Dutch but when we arrived, the guide explained to the group which contained people of all nationalities that since Dutch people are wonderful at languages that she... Great trip for adults and children. Our guide really brought the caves to life with stories relating to the history of the quarry. Well worth the effort ! More

I have visited many natural caves before and had expected something similar in being dark dank and damp. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the St. Pietersberg Caves while certainly dark were not at all dank or damp. Being man made over literally thousands of years since Roman times the caves are spacious enough for groups of visitors with... More
