About
Amsterdam city center running tour. As runners, we can go anywhere we want. So get a taste of all Amsterdams major sights and run with me through the ancient city. We run at easy pace along the pretty Amsterdam canals and canal houses. The fun part is that it’s not even the many famous sights, but the unexpected that you will remember. Have fun, burn some calories and enjoy! Paul

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a very enjoyable winter run around Amsterdam with Katya who was very fun and informative. The highlight was the shocked expression on the face of one lady in the red-light district when she opened the curtains to see us running past in fluorescent running gear at 8.45am!

Our running tour with Paul was wonderful! He arrived on time, and easily found a good pace for us to run, chat and learn a lot about Amsterdam on our nearly 10 k run. We were impressed that he’d just run the Amsterdam marathon and was in “recovery mode”, which was just right for us. We stopped several times for photos, which he took for us and shared later. Paul was also concerned for our safety and always made sure we were crossing roads safely as well as watching out for speeding bicycles and irregular footing. It was a great way to see the city center. We would recommend this tour to any runners who’d like to see the city with a knowledgeable guide!

This was perfect for me. Very easy to arrange and Paul was happy to adapt the run to my preferences so we didnt stop much and did a decent enough pace.
I have been to Amsterdam before a few times but went down loads of streets I didn't know.
Also the info Paul gave was terrific.
I did this on my own and it was still good value- I'd highly recommend it to any runners on their own in Amsterdam, eg on business.

Great running tour! Did this a couple of days after the Amsterdam half marathon: great way to see the city and the key sights, and to loosen legs after the race

This was the best thing on our short visit to Amsterdam. We got to see and hear a lot which we would otherwise missed out totally! Paul had a fun way of telling interesting facts and stories. I can warmly recommend this to all, no matter whether you run often or occationally.

An excellent running tour of Amsterdam, lead by Paul who knows the town well. A good running pace allowed us to cover a lot of ground. 15yr old daughters had a great time. Highly recommended.

I think this a great idea to have a local guide show you around this beautiful city and keep fit at the same time! especially after a long flight and to burn off jet lag. Paul - a local, is great fun, you can talk and run at a nice pace, while discovering key areas of Amsterdam, it was pooring rain but I didn’t notice, I’d do it again no problem! Great for solo travelers

Just got back from a lovely run with Frans. I I asked when booking if we could extend the run to 10k as opposed to be typical rude and they happily obliged. All in all, I think we did around 11k and I was able to see parts of the city that I never would have known to explore on my own -including instruments that were absolutely gorgeous.

I am not a talker when I run. Frans was able to keep up a running (pun intended) commentary with lots of history, stories, information about on going cultural events.

For context, I run a lot at home and am always training for some kind of endurance race. Frans get the pace up so I really felt like I was still getting a workout in, he made regular stops for sight seeing.

I highly recommend to serious runner who are new to the city and looking to get their bearings, as well as not so serious runners interested in the history and touring aspect. They will match your pace!

I also have to say that as a woman who runs alone a lot (with all the safety concerns that brings), it was great to be able to get out with a running partner while it's still dark and not have to worry about being alone. I don't think Amsterdam has many issues in that department, but for my first run in this City, it was nice to not have that nagging concern the back of my mind.

Wonderful experience!

My running tour with Paul was a lot of fun. Paul planned the run to include the highlights of Amsterdam while providing interesting and humorous insights into all that is Amsterdam. Highly recommend!
