Very helpful box office! Elegant building and in a pleasant area of the city with excellent shopping nearby, including a friendly classical music shop and the well-stocked and user-friendly Martyrium Bookshop. Concerts generally start at around 8p.m. (though there are free lunchtime ones,too). The Cafe in the Concertgebouw is open all day. It's a pleasant place to relax and have... more

As always, it's a pleasure to attend a performance at the Concertgebouw with its wonderful acoustics and bright sound. We enjoyed the performance by the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest on Friday 27th February 2009, and especially enjoyed what's been done to make it easier for the concert-goer: free public transport for 3 hours before and 4 hours after each concert, simply present... more
