Lovely decorated, beautiful old theater in its original state. So much better than all the modern ones with no atmosphere. Tuschinski is the best movie theater of Amsterdam, shows commercial and cult movies. Right in the city center, surrounded by clubs, restaurants, shops and public transportation. More

I spent more time watching the floor than the film because this Theatre is over run with Mice, I left because it was to much and the manager said what do you expect, this is Amsterdam. Get a dozen cats is what they need. Lovely Theatre if you live hundreds of mice. More

The Tuschinski Theater is a simply stunning building, it looks very gothic on the outside and the main cinema screen is a treat in itself, forget the film, you'll find yourself looking at the decor. It is completely deced out in a 1930s style, great value cinema tickets too. More

Look, the movies are your basic Hollywood fare. This is not why you will go to Tuschinski. No, you will go because it's the most beautiful movie theatre ever built, ever, anywhere, anytime. So find a film you want to see and make sure it's playing in the big hall. It's breathtaking. Drink something big so you have a reason... More

We saw this on our walking tour with Omy amsterdam tours. We were a small group and the guide knew the ticket worker so we were allowed to have a peak inside. Wonderful interior. More

This cinema is a classic of Art Deco and worth the ticket price (around 10.5 euro) to see it. But check that the movie is being shown in the old theatre - some are in a newer extension and you won 't see the old Tuschinski. You can't see the old decor without paying for a movie ticket. More

We opted to go for a rijstaffel dinner at the nearby Indrapura restaurant instead of going to a film, but walked around the lobby and took photos. It is an absolutely gorgeous art deco movie theatre. Will definitely try to get to a film the next time we are in Amsterdam. Not hard to find - in the Rembrandplein area... More
