But the drawings made by Rembrandt in one of the museums's room's was fantastic. Ok to have guided tour with the guid to our... More

It is a small visit and the ticket price might not be too cheap but I really liked visiting the Rembrandt house. Their audio system adds value to the visit by explaining you how Dutch people (and Rembrandt in particular) were living in the 17th century. We also enjoyed the painting workshop where a museum employee explained the techniques used... More

Entrance to Rembrandt's house is limited to 250 people at a time, so be prepared to queue. Once inside purchase the audio guide that enables you to understand better the paintings and artefacts of the museum....which is more than just an art gallery More

Although, I had lived in /the Netherlands as a boy and loved Rembrant's paintings I was truly unaware of his personal life.. A visit to this museum and to the Church his wife was buried makes him a much more human and approachable individual. By the way, buy a museum pass, as it is much cheaper than paying at each... More

I visited this museum a number of years ago, but found it thrilling to see where Rembrandt lived and worked and sold his paintings. To stand in the studio where he painted was particularly thrilling for me, an amateur painter. Fascinating! More

This is a small house front in a line of houses and has a small room that is decorated with items from the time Rembrandt lived there. I would not go out of my way to see but if your in the area anyway, stop by More

I really enjoyed seeing this. It is one of hte houses that Rembrandt lived in and is set up with furniture that was LIKE what was in the house, based on inventories taken when Rembrandt went bankrupt. It really gives you a flavor of life in his time and was worth the visit. You can buy your tickets at the... More

After the Van Gogh Museum, this was my favorite stop in Amsterdam. The museum is thoughtfully laid out, the etching demonstration was interesting and a nice touch, and the display of the house as it would have looked in Rembrandts time was fascinating. Our group of 4 really enjoyed this museum and thought it was well worth the cost. The... More

We had trouble finding this place, but it was well worth the walks around the block. Nice insight into Rembrandt's life as well as his art. Fabulous collection of etchings, too. More
