When the weather is nice this is one of the best places to disconnect from the city and get lost in the forest. You have bike, walk and even horse tracks. Some lakes to have a swim, grass to lie down or play. Perfect to have a picnic with friends family or so. There's even a small farm where you can... More

This place is set in a nature reserve, you can watch the fishermen, use the boat lake or walk in a forest, there is even a ambi theater here for actors in the summer. It is a nice pic nic area also. A nice day out with family, friends or just yourself. More

The Amsterdamse Bos is a huge expanse of parkland south of the city centre. We rode bikes from the Jordaan to get there, it's fairly straightforward but worth investing in the Amsterdam bike map. Lots of bike paths to get around the park, and check out the working goat farm to see oodles of goats and sample some good goats... More

well, not really worth a visit as a tourist, since it is a fairly unnatural park, more a forest, but artificially built in the 30ties as a employment project, too many trees, no natural feeling to it. At the other side of the Nieuwe Meer, it feels more natural. More

A very natural green looking jungle just outside of Amsterdam. One can relax in this green place or walk around or do some cycling. An ideal place for picnic during summer days. It is amazing that this place is not very far off from Amsterdam central. More

This is something out of my youth in the 60's: I used to go to the little swimming ponds with my parents. Sitting on the lawns we enjoyed the summer and the water. In the winter you would go riding your slay riding from "rabbit hill". It turned out to be a great park for the Amsterdammers, although it is... More

Quite ok considering it is a man made forest. Lots of dogs off the leash. So great if you have a dog. Good escape being so close to the center More
