The Tropenmuseum is perhaps the most interesting museum I've been lucky enough to visit. You can spend hours in that museum which displays so many different objects from so many different parts ot the globe with the help and assistance of technology. You can view films, hear music. It is just incredible.

One of "must see" in Amsterdam. The museum shares stories about other cultures and the past of the Netherlands. They have exhibitions with thousands of objects displayed in temporary and permanent exhibitions. If you want to learn about non-western cultures this will be good place to visit

this is a marvellous anthropological museum, making use of the last word in museology to get over its picture. The top floor has an excellent exhibition on the Yemen, but the high point for me was the brilliant picture of Dutch colonialism on the 2nd floor, with life size models whose lives typified what happened , interspersed with excellent film...
