This was one of our best choices on our trip to Amsterdam. It's almost like a maze in this place with different flora and temperatures. Don't miss the butterflies.... It was truly amazing to see so many up close.

We've made it a habit of trying to check out the botanical gardens wherever we travel. Hard to be disappointed by green living things that you wish you had in your living room! Nicely designed outside yards, and clever in the greenhouses that you had to go up a winding staircase and walk amongt the upper level, if you wanted....

I visited here in the spring, when things were only just beginning to bloom - a bit of a shame, as there wasn't much foliage about. The signs explaining the plants & their origins are in Dutch too, so unless you speak the lingo...!
Perhaps not worth the entrance fee on that alone, but they do have some lovely greenhouses...

A nice quiet but small corner of the city. A bit expensive unless you get concessionary entry. Nice coffee shop and the glass house is ok but not much clolour in April. The butterfly greenhouse is small but there are half a dozen different types of butterfly to keep you amused fot 5-10 minutes. Allow 90 mins maximum if you...

this Garden is pleasant and beautiful, but it's tiny - with far less to offer than one would expect from a city like amsterdam. you can walk through the entire thing in less than an hour, reading every plaque and examining every tree and greenhouse. not at all the scale one would expect from the tulip capital of the world....

Didnt expect this in the centre of Amsterdam. Great way of sending a couple of hours though suspect its better in the summer with more colour. Excellent value for money.

Euro 22 for a family is expensive considering there are no spring flowers. Wait until spring or summer but until then they new to reconsider the pricing structure. Three climate house was TW highlight but not worth the entry fee by itself.

Depending upon when you go, this can be interesting. Nice little butterfly house!

A small garden area, but with lots on offer. In March, the outdoor gardens were nearly dormant. However, the greenhouses were impressive, especially the butterfly house! Just so unexpected to see two varieties of butterflies everywhere eating, playing and mating around tropical plants. Charming cafe, shop, and surrounding neighborhood. A wonderful diversion.
