Our hotel staff dismissed this as somewhat of a "minor" museum but my husband and I spent several hours there and were touched and impressed by it. I learned a great deal about the Dutch and the Jewish residents during WWII. There were photos, films, various objects from that time and all were interesting. I was most touched by the...

It is a sad but compelling story that is shared. Gave us more respect for the dutch when we saw how they fought back during the war. Excellent items to view from the time also.

This unheralded museum near the Zoo is much more than "merely" a Resistance Museum. It is designed to make visitors consider what THEY would have done, faced with the choices the Nazis forced on the Dutch. Loaded with personal artifacts and stories, it is thought-provoking and moving. And it has a great little cafe attached!

This museum tells of the great Strength, resolve and bravery of many Dutch people involved in the resistance. I cannot recommend it enough. Everyone should visit this at least once on a visit to Amsterdam.

It has recreated streets and large photos that try to recreate the war years in Holland. There are letters, photos and film fragments that give small stories to...

8 euros entry, well worth the cheap cost though, very clean place, very clean toilets, quiet area of city opposite the Artis Zoo, secure lockers for bags with refundable 2 euro coin, can take photos without the flash on too.
This place is a little hidden treasure and well worth a visit after visiting the Anne Frank Huis (house) it...

A well set out tour through the occupation of the Netherlands. Good audio guide, although clunky to use at first.

I really liked the Resistance Museum. I've seen others like it, but the curators have really used the period materials well to tell the history of the period about 1936 to 1950 centering on WW 2. The visuals are simple yet very powerful and bring a strong sense of the privations felt by the Dutch with special emphasis on the...
