I thought I was in for a treat visiting the Coster diamond museum but it was very disappointing. I have a keen interest in diamonds but felt like this was a purely commerical enterprise with a 'museum' attached to the side. You would seem better examples of gems in a high end jewellers window. Not something I would recommend. More

We visited here on 6/5/12 and although interesting not a wonderful experience. There are signs pointing to a coffee shop but all it is is a machine and once you get there it is hard to re-enter the museum. I have visited Coster Diamonds a couple of times and it was a very enjoyable experience. It is interesting to see the diamonds being cut and polished and there is no pressure on you to buy a piece of jewellery from them. It is a long time since I was in Amsterdam but Coster Diamonds do have a sister company... More

Really was a poor visit, not much to see and frankly no effort on the part of the company to impress anyone. We have done many factory type tours such as perfume houses, they have all been much better, don't waste your time here. More

Free however nothing really to see, just a few staff behind glass working with ?diamonds, a short video (5-7 mins) and a small display area with cases of ?copies of famous jewels. Lots of opportunity to shop there if that's what you're after, plenty cases of items on display..............seemed to be a bit of a tourist trap, coach loads stop... More

Definitely worth a quick into. Didn't encounter any queues at all. You get to see the craftsmen at work. The gift shop is perfect for a quick souvenir shop. More

Whilst there were people there cutting the diamonds and there was some limited information on the wall, we had hoped to have someone with some knowledge tell us what was going on and how it all worked. More

First of all, it`s a free tour and they do it in your language. Very informative and it`s surprising to see the people work in such a small stone. You end your tour on their shop, with their astronomic prices, but still it`s worth a visit. Go early in the morning. You have the van Gogh Museum across the street.... More
