Great trip - the three of us and the guide. Everyone else who'd signed up at Boom Chicago wimped out due to dicey weather, so if it looks like rain get over there and try to get included on a tour at the last minute. So relaxed and the best viewpoint for so much of the city. more

If you are in Amsterdam, do try to book a boat ride with St Nicolaas at Boom Chicago, preferably in advance, because they can be fully booked for up to 2 days. We had an hour and 20 minute tour with Neil. He was great being a tour guide of Amsterdam in a past life - took us places the big tour boats can't. Well worth the recommendation. Relies on tips to keep the boats in the water. more

Read loads of positive reviews about the St. Nicolaas Boat Club on TA before I decided to sign up for it at Boom Chicago at the Leidseplein.
