Ideal spot that is tucked off the main track and can be tricky to find at first. I enjoy going to this bar every time i visit Amsterdam. The beer and service is great but the feel of the bar itself and the atmosphere is what makes the bar special. Be it the bar man wearing the silver metal elastics...

Well, my wife and I made it back to Amsterdam last July (2008), four years after our first visit. I had been eagerly anticipating a return visit to the Pilsener Club. I duly ordered the beer I had enjoyed on our first trip, Royal Palm, but was shocked to find out that I had the name of the brew wrong....

I have been visiting this bar since 1980. The current owner is the son of the previous owner who retired about 14 years ago. Its a lovley place and so characterful!
