I have visited this small beer bar several times over the past 5 years, most recently in March 2009. What I like about it is, that even though many tourists seem to find their way to it, it always has a good number of friendly locals up around the bar. There is a second floor (well, more of an annexe!)... more
One of my favorite bars in Amsterdam. Freindly, relaxed and a great spot spend a few hours trying beers. more
Like a sweet shop for adults. If you like beer and want to experience a typical Dutch 'Brown Bar' then this is a must. Try to get a table on the upper deck (towards the rear) where, once your eyes have become acustomed to the low (did someone say 'dingy'?) light levels, you can peruse the blackboards at your leisure,... more
small place but excellent beer selection good crowd and friendly service. theres also a real good beer store right across from it. more
