This museum has a wonderful collection of paintings not only by Hals but his contemporaries as well. They are displayed in a beautiful setting. The museum is a perfect size for the tourist - not too big to see it all.

Haarlem is a beautifull city with a nice market place and a lot of musea, Teyler, frans hals and more. The city is full of nice "hofjes" to visit and the "grote markt" is a wonderfulllace to sit on a terras or visit the church.
Better then Amsterdam where every one goes....a clean city with nice people.
