We stayed at an airport hotel and took a courtesy coach back to the airport and then caught a coach from the airport to the gardens. They were stunning. Get there early as you can to beat the crowds. Gardens are only open in spring. We went end of April. Took train/bus from Amsterdam. Spent hours walking through gardens of multi-colored flowers. Even for the non horticulturist, it was breathtaking. May be boring for children but windmill on grounds is cool. Must see if you are in Amsterdam in the spring. More

Go in May, the park opens a month earlier but you won't get to see much unless you go mid-May when all the flowers have blossomed and the place really becomes magical. More

This place is stunning! The grounds are immaculate and there are even works of art placed around the park. You can bring your dog if you want, the Dutch LOVE dogs! Also, the town of Lisse is nice as well for an overnight stay while visiting the gardens. There are many nice places to eat with great food. I also... More

The Keukenhof is definitely one of my highlights in my home country. Now I do understand why so many people come to the Netherlands to see the Keukenhof and the surrounding tulip fields... it's so beautiful and colourful, really worth a visit! More

The colors and arrangement of the flowers is incredible here!  It takes forever to walk through the park because you want to photograph everything!   More
