To get to the museum, you have to cross a bridge in which are models of a family of rhinoceroses. When you get to the first hall, you see a mass of stuffed and preserved animals and plants showing the diversity of life. Our children loved looking at the animals, touching the little dog, seeing the octopus through the floor,...

Excellent exhibitions. Walking distance from Leiden Centraal. Really nice treat in November 2009 when chorale groups and musicians were invited to perform at different rooms of the museum. Truly a neat way to spend the weekend!!!!

A great collection of animals in the first hall introduces to a magical world. A great place for kids (and adults, too)!

Naturalis is an excellent place to spend a entertaining day. Lots to see and learn about biology, evolution and geology. Been there three times with the family, never a dull moment. Lots to see and touch for kids. Most of it in Dutch, though. Excellent bookstore. Adequate catering. Parking close by at reasonable cost.
