Its a bridge, its pretty and its long. I mean, what else is there to say about it really? and rarely ever ships pass by it and pedestrians have to wait for the bridge to go down again. It doesn't get clogged with cars too often. More

I pass the bridge often. If you want some great photo's then go and check out that bridge in Rotterdam. If you travel with the metro ( subway ) get out at Wilhelminaplein station. After having taken some pictures go and have a coffee ( or tea ) at the Hotel New York. More

The story goes that when former mayor Peper had to chose between new social housing on the south part of the city or connecting this poor part of the city with a brand new bridge, he picked the latter. At first everybody complained of course, but nowadays every inhabitant of Rotterdam is proud of this landmark. It even ousted the... More

Very impressive, the day we visited it was really windy and we felt as though we were going to be blown off our feet! We crossed on the way to the Hotel New York, which is definetly worth a visit. More

Because I couldn't run the marathon this year I crossed the bridge walking to "South" and immediately turned back to the city side. It was cold but the view over the water was better than during the marathon. Lees crowdy, you see.. Walking this bridge is a great tip to visitors from outside to see Rotterdam skyline More
