There was a complete mix of art from the 15th century to the present, some special pieces worth the visit alone--a Goya portrait of Don Ramon Satue, a portrait of Pablo Casals, A Rene Magritte(Le modele rouge III). The explanations were excellent, sometimes witty. There is a modern annex with big installations for those who like that sort of thing...

The Boymans can be reached ever more easily since the adjacent parking garage has opened. On show: quite diverse exhibitions. Well known for their classical art collection, but creative when it comes to modern art as well

The good thing about this museum, it has a wide collection, not only the masters and another thing... it is not that crowded!... We had a nice time, though i prefer the Maurits huis in The Hague.

Happy to be back here after some years. The permanent collections were even better than I remembered. And the temporarily exhibitions are always interesting. Don't miss it. On Wensdays the admission is free.

The building is lovely, partly winding around a kind of garden atrium. The regular collection comprises paintings by many international 20th century painters, and the design section is definitely worth visiting.
