A museum in a nice building in Rotterdam city centre, highlighting Rotterdam history and with changing exhibitions. Overall, quite good, but I left a bit disappointed. Despite all the efforts that went into the exhibitions, they are all way too interactive for me: I want to watch old pictures and text etc about the city, and visit at my own... more

I have been to Het Schielands Huis Museum in about 2002, as I remember going there on a school excursion in the early 1960's!! I was not disappointed as a lot of the exhibitions I remembered were still there, the old Aap Noot Mies reading map, from which we learned to read so many years ago and lots of toys... more
