This is a great museum and a "must do" when visiting the Hague in order to see numerous Dutch masters. Just make sure you give yourself enough time to go round, as there is a free audioguide included in the entry price and it explains lots of paintings, and can take a lot of time if you listen to everything.... more

Visiting Amsterdam and decided to take a side trip to Den Haag (1 hr by train) to visit Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring. Mauritshuis is a lovely museum. Also home to a number of Rembrandt paintings. Also Ruebens. Just wonderful. I didn't particularly care for the jarring abstract on the ceiling in the hallway but each his own. Amazing... more
