Beautifully done; so peaceful, good variety of plants, surfaces, contrasts. I visit on a regular basis. Note no dogs allowed so my husband never came in. More

About 10 minutes drive from central Den Haag is a hidden gem - the Clingendael Japanese Garden. It is set in a private estate and is only open to the public for a few weeks per year (in May/June and in the autumn.) Cherry trees blossom amidst mossy banks, Japanese maples shade ferns and azaleas, scarlet bridges cross tranquil pools... More

Japanese Garden is just a small part of Clingendael. It's small, but really worth visiting. It's open for a very short time. Clingendael is famous from huge, old bushes azaleas and rhododendrons. They look the best in May, during blossom. More

Lovely garden, very old and well kept. Not huge, you will spend about half an hour there. Only open a couple of weeks each year. More

A lovely Japanese garden in The Hague, but it is only open for a few weeks in the spring. Make sure to check the dates. More

A pity the garden is only in bloom such a short time of the year... it really looks beautiful all those colors and at the same time the whole parc is in bloom.... at that time it is really so nice to walk through the whole parc, so lovely and as it is big it doesn't feel like it is... More

Clindendael is a really nice park in The Hague. It is a forest with walking paths and green canals. This Japanese garden is also very nice, open for a very short period of time. Worth to visit! More

Clingendael is an extensive park, once a private property, consisting of meadows shaded by majestic trees. There is also a Japanese garden, open only from late March to June. A backdraw, Clingendael is well visited and there is only one little lunchroom on its grounds, so it's very desirable to take your refreshments with you. More

The Hague has two nice and in my opinion special parks, being: Clingendael (with it's nice Japanese Garden) and Westbroek park (because of its huge rose garden). I live next to Clingendael and walk there almost every day... its a lovely park, quiet and for free!... there is enough parking space (that costs money though) and in April/ May/ June... More
