This huge cylindrical painting by Mesdag was created by setting up a glass observatory on the dunes of Scheveningen and tracing everything seen in all 360 degrees against the glass. In addition to the paintings of Mesdag and his wife who was also a painter, one could find there the collection of the painter Mesdag, which was very interesting. I doubt I willl ever forget walking up into the Panorama. It was so special and such a surprise and I certainly did not want to leave. It was something I read about but words do not convey the experience. More

We visited Mesdag Panorama during our stay in Den Hague due the reviews it has and it was great ! You can almost smell the see,so real seems everything! The 360 degrees panorama made me feel dizzy! This is an amazing museum, with a 360 degree painting of The Hague. You feel as if you are right in the moment.
