One reason why this is a must go to museum is the architecture of the building by it self is great, but an even better reason are the exhibition on Life and Death on the top 2 floors (don't bother to go to the other floors). Really amazing is the Prehispanic collection from Paul and Dora Janssen. Paul Janssen was... More

If you are searching for a new concept of museum, go there! First of all, I like the building, and then for only 1€ (maybe a lil more cause I had the student redux) a very interesting series of exhibitions distributed in at least 8 floors!! It proposes a large variety of things..from the story of the city to the... More

This is a truly outstanding museum! Architecturally, with its sweeping curved glass windows, it is a beautiful buidling and every time you leave the escalator to another of the 10 floors you are wowed by the view. Better yet, the exhibits are exceptionally well curated to show interesting aspects of an eclectic collection of art, history and ethnography. They have... More

It was packed but I'd decided not to go to the main exhibitions as I didn't want to pay for 6 floors of Antwerp and its position in the world and history. Level 2 is free and a treasure trove of archived artefacts - think lost property but on a wonderfully interesting scale. Signage is in Dutch for all non-speakers,... More

Great way to learn about Antwerp, both present and past. Not the biggest museum but very nice to wander around. New technologies are used to give a visitor a "different than usual museum experience". The MAs is located in a trendy neigbhourhood. Quite some cafés around to enjoy a nice drink after the museum visit. Recommended! More

Whilst the main art gallery is being renovated, some of the Old Masters are on view at the MAS. We were disappointed in the exhibition, finding the juxtaposition of old and new muddled rather than thought provoking. More
