Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We wandered around this square for a few minutes. it is in a very upscale part of town with classy shopping and eating nearby. And very grand houses and office buildings surround the square with its big statue.

This is a small square at Brussels' bohemian Sablon area. Place du Grand Sablon is adorned with some neat, well-maintained houses. Great place to take a rest while exploring the Belgian capital.

Our tram stopped here and we got out and were nicely pleased with the Place and the park around it. Lovely 19th Century park architecture with a statue.

A lovely square (actually it’s triangle) in the Upper Town. Close to the Royal Palace and the Royal Museums of Fine Art and the Magritte Museum. Every Saturday and Sunday a great antique market with some wonderful china and silverware stalls. The square is lined with high end chocateliers, boutiques, restaurants and Witammer, a superb bakery with the Belgian royal warrant. An easy walk downhill to the area around the Grand Place and a bracing return up Rue Lebeau!

Lovely area, a should see landmark, especially on the way to all the museums nearby or to the Monte des Arte.

This is a fairly small, triangular shaped square in the Upper Town of Brussels. It is an elegant area lined with high-end chocolatiers, retail shops, brasseries and the NH Collection hotel. You'll find a fountain monument of Minerva in the centre, near a dedicated carpark section. At the southeast end of the square is the masterpiece 15th-century Gothic church of the Blessed Lady of the Sablon - one of the finest examples of flamboyant Gothic architecture in all of Belgium.

We have stayed at the NH Collection here a couple times during visits to Brussels, finding it a wonderful square and neighbourhood to explore on foot. Some very good brasseries on this square as well including Lola, Au Vieux Saint Martin and the friendly people at La Pizza e Bella who bake up delicious Neapolitan-style. Early morning breakfast at the Le Pain Quotidian is a good way to start your day at Place du Grand Sablon as well.

We walked from Louise street to this area. It is a hill to arrive there, however it worth it. Just so beautiful when you arrive and with all restaurants and stores this area is very charming. Worth the visit!

The Grand Sablon square is known for being a classy one, with shops and cafes, but it's highlight are the chocolate shops. One of the more known, long lasting of these is Wittamer, which have a chocolate shop and a pastry shop - both very recommended.
