We turned up in Ghent specifically to see the main fine art museum and the main modern art museum (S.M.A.K.) and they were both shut. The fine art museum is closed until 2006, the modern art museum had closed arbitrarily for a few days. Continental museums have a habit of doing this, so would recommend checking beforehand... but not with... more
