Ghent is on the way to Rotterdam and it is worth an stop there. It is a typical Belgium city, with a nice canal and fantastic old building around. It was a surprise to see a large youth population on the streets. More

The townhall makes for some great pictures outside, but the inside its also worth a visit. This is not always possible,but during the Gentse feesten (Gent festival) in July visits are free. More

When you're in Ghent you have to go to the twon hall, its an impressive building at the outside. Very beautiful statues are decorating the big building. You can also visit the inside with a guide. More
