Must see. We enjoyed seeing it from one of the boat rides, and the guide can tell you about some of the facades. It's also great at night when you can see the reflection in the canal More

This is the hart of the medieval city. You can fully apreciate the scene if you stand in de middle of the St. Michiels bridge a look towards the count's castle. More

This is "the" place of Gent. Beautiful buildings, views. A good starting point for exploring the town. Or good spot just to sit on a terrace and watch people walking by. More

This is one of the best places to sit and enjoy Gent. Overlooking the canal there are plenty of historic buildings to see, cafes and restaurants to eat at, and locals and tourists to watch. It can be very busy and not always easy to find a table for your coffee or lunch, but if the weather is good then... More

Plenty of cafés overlook the two quays, so one can sit and enjoy a coffee - the Belgians are really good at coffee - while looking at people walking or sailing by. More
